It is not often you find music companies these days that celebrate and honor music with soul and passion. Hidden Beach Recordings has dedicated its company to doing so for the last decade.

On July 14 Hidden Beach Recordings recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary with a release party for the seventh album in their Unwrapped series, “Unwrapped 7: Back 2 Basics.” The party was held at the famous Key Club in Hollywood in conjunction with R&B Live, an event that brings in local artists to perform R&B and soul music.

Unwrapped Volume 7 is a jazz and hip-hop compilation album which features production from acclaimed producer and songwriter JR Hutson, a longtime Hidden Beach collaborator who produced five tracks on Jill Scott’s album “The Real Thing.” Hidden Beach Recordings’ roster includes artists such as Jill Scott, Al B. Sure, Mike Phillips, Bebe Winans and Jeff Bradshaw. Jill Scott was the first artist to be signed to Hidden Beach and had great success with her first album, selling over 2.4 million records. Jill Scott has been nominated for over 12 Grammys and been awarded three, including Best R&B Urban/Alternative Performance.

CEO Steve McKeever created Hidden Beach Recordings to be a dynamic record label which seeks to create long-lasting music in the Urban Alternative, R&B, Soul, Inspirational and Contemporary Jazz genres. McKeever also utilizes Hidden Beach Recordings for philanthropic efforts. In September 2008 Hidden Beach Recordings released "Yes We Can: Voices of a Grassroots Movement," a compilation album which benefitted the Barack Obama campaign. The compilation featured artists Kanye West, Stevie Wonder and Sheryl Crow.

Now as Hidden Beach celebrates ten years of success they have added a new band to their roster, Naturally 7. Their heavily anticipated EP Vocal Play is now available online. Naturally 7 is an eclectic band which consists of seven members, who bring R&B to a new level with the use of what they call “Vocal Play” where the members use the human voice to become the instrument.  Naturally 7 continues to stun audiences around the country with their impressive vocal skills. With tremendous internet buzz Naturally 7 has already started their rise to the top of R&B with over 20 million views on YouTube that include appearances on  The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tavis Smiley Show and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The band is also featured on the title track of Quincy Jones’ long-awaited release, Soul Bossa Nostra and are currently the opening act on Michael Buble’s worldwide tour.

The Unwrapped Series Volume 7 compilation album “Back 2 Basics” takes you on a sultry journey of today’s hottest hits remade to recreate good music. There is a little hip hop, a hint of funk, and rest-assured the album is full of flavor and sealed with finesse. After listening to the album it can be said that Hidden Beach has created another success. All of Hidden Beach Recordings’ music and media can be purchased and viewed at www.hiddenbeach.com.
