Getting Uploaded: Shaq O’Neal and PHD is partnering with a few of his comic friends to launch a new show tentatively called “Upload with Shaquille O’Neal.” Shaq and friends, including Gary Owen and Godfrey, will comment on web videos

and create their own parodies. The series has been green-lighted for 10 episodes on TruTV. “Shaquille O’Neal has such a great personality, and he really has a lot of fun with the format and the material in this new TruTV series,” said TruTV EVP and COO Marc Juris. “This show is going to be a great fit with TruTV’s comedic shows like “Impractical Jokers” and the upcoming “Killer Karaoke.” The show is going to be right up Shaq’s alley, being that he’s a big goofball himself and a veteran to television. Remember his shows, “Shaq’s Big Challenge” and “Shaq Vs.?” Yeah, it’s going to be pretty entertaining. “I’ve always tried to entertain people,” said O’Neal.

Fashion Sense: Singer Rihanna is designing her first clothing collection for River Island, she announced. According to her website, “[t]he capsule collection will launch in Spring 2013. I’ve been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with, and working with a British family-run business also really appealed to me,” she said in a statement. “I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I’m looking forward to working with them and creating something really special.” According to River Island’s website, employees behind the brand are “all huge fans of Rihanna’s style” and were “flattered…when she approached us about working together and bringing our fashion experience to her range.”

Eye on Adoption: Queen Latifah said during an appearance this month on ABC’s “The View” that she is “working on” adopting a child. When asked by co-host Barbara Walters whether she had seriously considered adoption, the singer/rapper/actress replied, “I’m actually kind of working on that…” When pressed further about her plans, the Joyful Noise star said, “I think I saw one of those specials… you know those movies of the week. And it was like -- and I just always wanted to bring a child home.” She added that it wouldn’t really matter where the child came from.  When Barbara asks, “So are you really seriously planning on adopting?” Queen Latifah responds, “I’m totally serious, so if you got a kid that you don't… Just give me a year -- let me set up camp and send me the kid. But no, no totally.”

Grindin’: Jamie Foxx just finished working on “Django Unchained” and began filming a new thriller, “White House Down,” but is also working on his forthcoming album. He headed to the studio to begin recording for the new project.

As TMZ first reported, 22-year-old Grtis Ivey was arrested on November 14, 2011 for allegedly busting into a Las Vegas apartment with a gun and forcing the tenant into the bathroom while his female prostitute friend ransacked the place. Under the plea agreement, Ivey will serve a minimum of 3.5 years in prison (and a max of 10 years). A judge will formally sentence Ivey on September 12 ... Maria Cole, the widow of singer Nat “King” Cole and mother of singer Natalie Cole, died Tuesday, July 10, after a short battle with cancer, her family said. She was 89.

Finally: Actor Michael Clarke Duncan was hospitalized Friday, July 13, after having a heart attack.
