All in the Family: Randy Jackson has sold a siblings singing competition show to MTV, reports Deadline. Basing itself off groups with siblings like the Jackson 5, the Beach Boys, Hanson and The Jonas Brothers, the untitled series will feature groups with siblings competing against each other. The Jackson-produced show, which is in early stages of development, is getting ready to start casting and looking for family bands and groups, a source said. The “American Idol” judges’ Dream Merchant 21 Entertainment has partnered on the project with DiGA, the production company of former top MTV executives Tony DiSanto and Liz Gately, which is backed by Ben Silverman’s Electus, according to Deadline. The sibling series expands Jackson’s relationship with MTV, where he executive produces America’s Best Dance Crew, currently in its seventh season.
Briefly: Deion Sanders has been ordered to pay $10,500 per month in child support to his estranged wife Pilar Sanders, and $275,000 to cover her legal fees, reports TMZ. The NFL veteran will not, however, have to pay spousal support. Pilar was also ordered to return six containers of Deion’s property by July 1. Last week, Deion was granted a restraining order against Pilar, which requires her to stay at least 500 yards away from his Dallas mansion ... The “Bad 25” deluxe package will commemorate the King of Pop and will include original music, demos, and songs that didn’t quite make it to the general public. The new songs were recorded in Jackson’s studio while he was making the album, and the package also offers a DVD of Jackson’s performance for Britain’s Prince Charles, Lady Diana and 72,000 fans at London’s Wembley Stadium in 1988, say reports.
Finally: Terrence Howard’s former manager is claiming that Howard owes her major money in unpaid commissions. Victoria Fredrick filed a lawsuit against the actor last year that states he owes her more than $130,000 for his role in “Winnie” and “Fightin.” He earned a combined $2.75 million. She also claims he owes her residuals for some of his title movies, including “Hustle and Flow,” “Get Rich or Die Tryin,” and “Iron Man,” along with several other movies that haven’t been made yet. But Howard quickly shot back at the woman, saying she was never a manager in that sense. She was simply a personal assistant who answered phones for him and ran personal errands as well. The case was dismissed after they settled for an undisclosed amount
