A beautiful celebration of life for Mrs. Harmon, and the support of our community was tremendous. They say there is strength in numbers, and in the case of the Harmon family it is unity ... Speaking of strength, you say Connie Jones through it all and welcome home Rags.

Belated and up-coming wishes to: Dick Strother (getting better), Walkie Ray, Brenda Wilmore, Rosa (Ethel) Walker, and to Mrs. Carrie Doby, who turned 100 years old on March 16th. Mrs. Doby was honored with a birthday party that was fantastic, hosted by son Allen Doby and family. Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido proclaimed March 16, 2010 as Carrie Doby Day by City Manager Dave Ream. Mrs. Ream presented from Assemblyman Jose Salorio, also recognition from Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas. Would like to think her best was a year’s subscription to Tri-County Bulletin. I was in awe, as always, in the presence of Mrs. Doby who always looks so good. Missed a few events in the OC. but would not have missed that celebration.

Upcoming birthday wishes to Rachel Powe, Jerilyn King-Brown, Linnie Bradley and, of course, Dr. Fran Williams, Betty Elizabeth Liz Norton and Dr. Versie Burns.

Til next week …
