The OC NAACP needs a meeting place! We do not have funds to pay $50 a month that churches want, or the $6 per car for Bowers. Seems so little to ask for supporting the 100-year plus civil rights organization. So many just want to be

about Black in February! That is, how many can have events and want money and support. Hope there is support for Black History Parade; the cost is prohibitive for most.

Happy upcoming birthday wishes to the incomparable Carolyn Coleman (Jan. 18) … The program by Jack & Jill at Saddleback Church was well organized and attended … Thanks to NAACP president Don Craig, upcoming events are publicized …

Our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Gloria Banks, who initiated and supports a college pantry, what a need and deed being met. Hard to study and do so on noodles … Imagine my disappointment to find out that you don’t have a Brazilian butt because you can write Brazil across it!

Til next week …
