By Jacqueline Johnson

Good to hear that my opinion (mine only) can arouse an e-mail defending the lack of support for existing events and, yes, the Tri-County Bulletin. This year we had three Juneteenths, a poor showing for the Cultural Fair, and no Black History Parade …

Bad taste is/was the over-smoked meat. When organizations try to get support or funding, their history is taken into consideration as in how long in existence, and not every few months a first annual something, and hope that voter registration, church attendance and support is increased because of the event.

Upcoming birthday wishes to: Kawana Oliver, July 21st; Jacqueline Taylor, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Lena Dennis and Halle Berry … Cannot believe it has been a year, and Pat, miss you so much.

Til next week …
