Birthday wishes, belated and upcoming, to Beatrice Jones on July 30 and to lovely granddaughter Jade Beatrice Jones, who was one year old on July 20, and the best birthday present ever … Speaking of birthdays, the surprise (not really) and best party ever for T. Leon Berry and part of their family reunion (Alexander and Dorothy Boone, West Palm Beach), Atlanta, Oakland, Arizona, and call from Hawaii were part of the surprise for T. Leon, who called around to find out where his surprise party would be.

Great seeing so many old friends, especially Jess Berry. The real surprise was on Colquitt, aka Jimmy Ray, at the “lodge” and lots of old friends and fun. Betty Colquitt and Doug pulled it off. Colqutt kept saying, “I think I got punked!”

Upcoming birthday wishes to Marie Moseley, Carolyn Jackson, Shirley Berry and Barack Obama … Anniversary wishes, Elliot and Star Simmons (#24) on August 4th.
