Belated birthday wishes to: (Saint) Jessie Allen and to Deborah Pigg of San Diego ... Upcoming wishes to Cheryl Hopkins, T. Leon Berry and OC’s newest singing sensation, Jimmy “Ray” Colquitt ... Thanks to Brian Patterson for helping with presenters and to Political Action committee members Wellington Bennett and T. Leon Berry  for attendance at NAACP meeting July 10th.

PAC will host the September meeting as a major voter registration, membership, and information forum. Political party reps, candidates, and elected officials are invited; place to be announced. Please see calendar regarding August 21st event, coordinated by the dynamic Judy Sampson, and of course emphasis on recognizing, and rewarding our youth. Also Aug 14th is the Spelling Bee hosted by Community Learning Center. Not sure about the article “fish fry for the fourth,” but the Jacksons really had it going on ... Thanks  to publisher Brian  and Mrs. Mary Townsend  for being so helpful.

Lots going on, see calendar and support events, especially if you don’t like the people.
