Free Family Summer Activities

As the summer sun heats up, Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews announces the Sixth District Free Family Summer Activities. The events starts in June and run through to September. “I hope everyone will take advantage of these free family events. With today’s economy, a lot of parents cannot afford a family
outings or a family vacation. These things help to keep the family bond strong. Strong families mean strong communities,” said Councilman Andrews. 


Families across Long Beach look forward to the summertime and to the 6th District’s wholesome activities for all ages. The free events are as follows: 

Free Movie in the Park

Happy Feet II
, Wednesday, June 27th, starts at dusk, McBride Park, 1550 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue 

Free Concerts in the Park

Boxcar 7- Blues, Soul and R&B, 3pm – 6pm, Sunday, July 8th, Martin Luther King, Jr. Park, 1950 Lemon Avenue 

Free Movie in the Park

Kung Fu Panda II
, Wednesday, July 11th, starts at dusk, Veterans Park, 101 East 28th Street 

6th District Port Tour

6th District Day at King Pool,

6th District Senior Water Exercise Classes
