new Signings: Congratulations to Deon Kipping and Jason Nelson who were both recently signed to Verity Gospel Music Group. Kipping is a singer, songwriter, and producer who has penned hits such as “Praise Him In Advance,” made popular by Marvin Sapp and “Incredible God, Incredible Praise,” made popular by J.J. Hairston

& Youthful Praise. Similarly, Nelson is a gifted singer, songwriter, and producer who penned popular songs such as “Thirsty,” “Place of Worship,” and “He Has His Hands On You,” all found on recent albums from Marvin Sapp. Nelson is also the twin brother of Jonathan Nelson and shares vocals with him on the hit “Right Now Praise.” Expect new music from both artists in the coming months.

Forgive & Live: CeCe Winans and Bishop Hezekiah Walker join several gospel artists and other guests at Kevin Levar’s Forgive and Live Campaign Kick-off. It all takes place July 10 at the Jericho City of Praise. Praise DC’s Cheryl Jackson and Cory “Coco-Brother” Condrey will serve as hosts for the kick-off.

Kevin Levar is a singer and songwriter who wrote the hit song “A Heart That Forgives.”  The song first appeared on Levar’s Billboard charting album “Let’s Come Together.” The plaintive cry for a heart of forgiveness and love resonated with many across the nation. As a result, the song has sparked a national movement called Forgive and Live. In preparation for the campaign kick-off Levar initiated the 40 Days of Prayer. Individuals may call in each day at 10 p.m. ET and share in a time of prayer.Richard_Smallwood

The event will feature music as well as discussions about the importance of forgiveness. Michael Blake, White House director of African American Minority Outreach, and Michael Barry, author of ‘The Forgiveness Project,’ are scheduled to participate. The event line-up includes: CeCe Winans, Bishop Hezekiah Walker
Cory “Coco Brother” Condrey, Condrey, Y’anna Crawley, Sheri Jones-Moffett and Darlene McCoy, among others.

Briefly: Tyscot Records is prepping for the August 23rd release of a big Deitrick Haddon compilation, Anthology: The Writer & His Music. To be released in Deluxe Edition, the project comes as a CD/DVD, featuring songs and music videos from the span of Haddon’s time with Tyscot Records, such as “Anybody Here,” “Chain Breaker,” “Rise & Be Healed” and more ... Bonnerfide Radio is hosting an online listening party for Richard Smallwood on Monday, July 18, at 8 p.m. ET at http://www.BonnerfideRadio.com. You’ll get to hear the full album and chat about it. The album, Promises, is available for pre-order on Amazon. Finally: Isaac Carree’s debut solo album “Ike” releases Uncommon Me on August 23. Two singles leading up to the project have already been released: his cover of the Tommy Sims-penned “Simply Redeemed” and his latest single, “In the Middle.”
