June 26 – Dr. Joshua Murfree, the national mentoring chairman for the 100 Black Men of America, in partnership with the 100 Black Men of Long Beach, will host a Mentoring workshop, “Mentoring the 100 way.” The event will take place at Cal State University Long Beach, 1250 Bellflower Blvd., Pyramid Annex 2nd, Long Beach, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Workshop is free. American Red Cross – The Greater Long Beach Chapter has many community disaster preparedness programs available free to congregations and faith communities. They would also like to work with congregations to prepare their facilities for emergency sheltering.
